OOTD

Goodbye Year

Photo Dec 09, 4 39 10 PM.jpg

Anyone else getting ready to kick 2017 to the wayside and say hello to a new year? In all honesty, yes, as a whole, news-related, politics etc year, 2017 was a sh*t-storm... but, honestly, for myself, it wasn't a total flaming pile of trash.

I will say its been a long year. A crazy year. But not an all bad year. In the last few weeks left of the year, I want to take some time and reflect, look at my goals and journal from the past year, and look forward to the year to come.

I don't make resolutions in the technical sense... but I'm a list maker, and enjoy planning- so I'm sure I'll sit and plan out some things.

One huge thing I'm thankful for in 2017 is that I met some amazing lady friends via Instagram- and am digging having some awesome friends that I get to do big and small things with on a weekly basis. It makes life happy.

Big THANKS to my talented friend Mikayla for these awesome photos we shot randomly after going to the Creative Babes Christmas Cheers Market on Sunday!

On the Streets, OOTD

I had a post all set to save... a whole batch of beautiful senior photos that I took of my gorgeous cousin Lisa, and then Squarespace did this weird thing, reloaded the page without me asking and deleted the entire post. So... that's why you get another OOTD post without anything in between. That... and because I got the day off today unexpectedly! Yay.

I'm so grateful for the beautiful weather today- and tomorrow, Thanksgiving, is supposed to be even warmer. I seriously need to consider moving south in the future.

Tomorrow I'm headed to Dayton to spend the day with my family... then I work on Black Friday and early, early Saturday morning. It will be interesting to be in my department store on Friday... we'll mostly be changing out signage, doing damage control and staying FAR FAR away from the home department... not much for a visual to do on Black Friday, but we're required to work it for some odd reason.

Saturday evening I'm driving back to Dayton to have a farewell dinner with my closest friends for our dear friend who just got a job in New Jersey and is moving the first week in December! I'm so happy for him but I know we'll all miss him dearly.

Also I'm making plans to drive to Boone, North Carolina next weekend (hopefully! If I can get the time off approved!) to visit my bestie and her family who moved from Ohio this week (I haven't seen her in a couple weeks and she up and moves on me!!) So... busy season has begun. Plus my family is planning on getting their Christmas tree, my sister Val is flying back to the States... this year will be over before I know it!!!
